The heel float suspends heels over an air cavity to prevent pressure sores. It eliminates heel pressure, wicks away moisture, reduces skin shear, controls foot drop and provides air floatation for the ankle. Hook and loop straps are sewn to fabric bands to prevent skin abrasion. Cushioned sides protect the lateral and medial malleolus for side lying patients.
Includes an insert for foot drop control. The Gel-Foam Heel Cushion is a shorter version with a water based gel insert that cools and reduces skin damaging perspiration.
